A joint venture between the Cradle of Humankind Management Authority and the Centre for Evolutionary Studies at Wits University, Marapo was launched at Sterkfontein Caves on Friday, 26 July 2013, and is a practical partnership between science and social development designed to have far-reaching impacts, not just for paleoanthropology.
