Cradle of Humankind sunrises and sunsets – rolling hills

The Maropeng Visitor Centre is surrounded by the majestic landscapes of the Cradle of Humankind, a rolling grassland that is home to a large variety of plants and animals, some of which are rare or endangered.

The Cradle of Humankind is one of eight World Heritage Sites in South Africa, and the only one in Gauteng. It is widely recognised as the place from which all of humankind originated.
