Massospondylus

The first Massospondylus fossils were described by palaeontologist Sir Richard Owen in 1854, making it one of the first dinosaurs to be named.

This dinosaur is one of the topics featured on the Millennium Sundial, engraved in granite and situated at the Sterkfontein Caves.
