What’s for sale in Maropeng’s shop?
Maropeng recently unveiled its revamped online shopping gateway, the Maropeng Shop. The Maropeng Shop is a secure portal where users can safely purchase specials, products and Maropeng experiences.
A wide variety of sales are on offer, all of which can be browsed according to the following categories:
- Products: Includes items such as books
- Specials: Special offers; combination events that include the Maropeng Hotel, La Cigale Spa and Maropeng; and special accommodation offers
- Experiences: Things to do and see at Maropeng, such as stargazing, walking tours and special events.

Experiences on offer
Join Maropeng’s resident astronomer, Vincent Nettmann, for the following upcoming stargazing events at Maropeng. Each stargazing evening includes a presentation and lecture by Nettmann, a delicious dinner at either the Tumulus restaurant or the Maropeng Hotel, and a practical session of stargazing from atop the lookout deck.
