WWF helps rhinos on International Rhino Day

September is Heritage Month in South Africa and Maropeng wishes to highlight an important part of our wildlife heritage – rhinos.

The second International Rhino Day is on September 22, and the World Wildlife Fund (WWF) is driving a call to raise funds for conservation efforts, which are ongoing and expensive.

“Poaching is a constant reality despite the massive efforts on the ground by the heroes who defend our rhinos,” says WWF South Africa. “By September this year, nearly 300 of our rhino had been killed.”

The WWF says you can be a part of its efforts to save the rhinos by contributing to this worthy cause.
